La sera pioveva molto ma siamo usciti e tornati nel centro a girare abbiamo preso un gelato in una famosa gelateria ,  street food gamberi e calamari vicino alla cattedrale. 

In the evening it was raining a lot but we went out and went back to the center to wander around and had an ice cream in a famous ice cream shop, shrimp and squid street food near the cathedral.

Dopo aver fatto colazione la proprietaria dell'appartamentino si e' offerta di portarci alla fermata dell'autobus per Bari. Avevamo un po' di tempo cosi che siamo andati a vedere il mercato che era nelle vicinanze. La notte prima bel nostro vagare tra la pioggia e mangiato il gelato giornaliero l'avevamo scoperto. 

לאחר ארוחת הבוקר הציע בעל הדירה לקחת אותנו לתחנת האוטובוס לבארי, היה לנו קצת זמן אז הלכנו לראות את השוק שהיה בקרבת מקום. בלילה הקודם שוטטנו בגשם ואכלנו את הגלידה היומית שגילינו אותה.

Arrivati a Bari da Matera con autobus che ci ha fermato vicino alla stazione centrale poco distante dalla nostra abitazione in corso Cavour. Abbiamo messo le valigette nell'appartamento e sebbene la pioggia siamo andati verso il centro. Prima meta era cercare le donnine che fanno le orecchiette, fanno questa  pasta di fuori a alle loro abitazione una tradizione che viene trasmessa da madre a figlia. In piazza Del Ferrarese abbiamo trovato l'ufficio informazioni che ci hanno spiegato e dato la mappa della città'.

הגענו לבארי ממטרה באוטובוס שעצר אותנו ליד התחנה המרכזית לא רחוק מביתנו בקורסו קאבור. שמנו את המזוודות בדירה ולמרות הגשם הלכנו לכיוון המרכז. המטרה הראשונה הייתה לחפש את הנשים הקטנות שמכינות אורצ'יט, הן מכינות את הפסטה הזו מחוץ לביתן, מסורת שעוברת מאם לבת.בפיאצה פרארז מצאנו את משרד המידע שהסביר לנו ונתן לנו את מפת העיר.


Piazza Ferrarese was named after a merchant from Ferrara, Stefano Fabri or Fabbro, who was the owner of several buildings in the square and that in the seventeenth century moved to Bari and left his mark by building the loggia of the Palazzo del Sedile.
Opposite the old port and overlooking the Augusto Imperatore seafront is the square. It is flanked on the right by the former Fish Market, built in 1840, and the access ramp to Via Venezia, while on the left by the current Sala Murat which used to be a food store, and the apse of the Vallisa church. At the back of the square there is the Starita palace, built on the ruins of an ancient arsenal.
Piazza Ferrarese has always been one of the access points to the old town which, with its narrow streets, alleys and small openings, extends from Piazza Ferrarese - Piazza Mercantile up to the Normanno -Svevo castle.
During recent restoration, which involved not only the square but also the surrounding buildings, a short stretch of the ancient Via Appia – Traiana came to light, built by the Romans in the early second century A.D.
Nowadays the square is filled with very busy bars and restaurants and, together with Piazza Mercantile, has become a must for those enjoying Bari’s nightlife. Charming and romantic evening views of the brightly lit seafront can be enjoyed from the square and the access ramp to Via Venezia.
It is the perfect



place to hold concerts, artistic performances and especially the majestic illuminations that accompany the festival which honour of the patron saint of Bari, San Nicola.

.... però la biancheria fuori del terrazzo ....


Appena uscito il sole anche le donnine hanno fatto capolino.... e messo fuori i banchi 





Siamo andati in giro per il centro storico di Bari visto la cattedrale ed un'altra chiesa , verso sera abbiamo trovato il posto del pesce che era scritto sui fogli di Barbara... abbiamo aspettato fino alle sette e mezza ora apertura di sera . Non siamo stati soddisfatti del servizio e anche il pesce non era proprio buono.
